The initial phase of the Care Center was constructed in 1995 and was 47,000 square feet with two stories (plus a small 3rd story storage area). The three story, 67,200 square foot addition entailed an additional 81 beds (combined skilled nursing and assisted living), commercial kitchen expansion, and a new dining area. The additions on the first floor included a 4,400 square foot physical therapy ward with an indoor therapy pool, and an 8,200 square foot child development center (designed by another architect). Aside from the technical requirements and various agency review and approval processes, this project had several clients and numerous design consultants.
