Pauite Neighborhood Center was originally constructed as an elementary school in the mid-1960’s. Between 1993 and 2002, eight buildings (+43,000 square feet) were renovated in four design and construction phases. The campus is comprised of numerous services and amenities including a senior center, Handlebar Helpers (a community "Earn a Bike" and apprentice program), standard classrooms, computer training classrooms, an art classroom, a tiered lecture hall, a Head Start facility, a child development center, a teen center, an aerobics room, and a Maricopa County Primary Care Center. The project also included phased replacement of the pedestrian canopy.

I was the project manager during the first three phases of renovations at Paiute Neighborhood Center. Jorge Abril was the design team leader in each phase. Each project was completed on time, on budget, and satisfied the program requirements. This was due in no small part to Jorge’s diligence and focus through every step of the process. Jorge gave me the support I needed."
