City of Scottsdale Capital Project Management
Scottsdale, Arizona

This project included remodeling and upgrading an existing swimming pool bathhouse, originally constructed in 1974. Except for the office and pool equipment areas, the facility was initially constructed without a roof assembly or an HVAC system. The remodel included ADA upgrades, new roof systems, and a new HVAC system. The original point-of-sales counter consisted of large windows which were oriented directly west. A new entrance was added with a series of fin walls to shield the new windows. This protected the new lobby from the heat gain and glare of the harsh, western sun exposure while providing controlled natural day lighting.
