Exponent Phoenix campus offers vehicle crash testing and auto accident reconstruction. The campus includes of a mile and a half vehicle test track. The New Engineering/Vehicle Preparation Building consists of a two-story office adjoining a one-story vehicle preparation area. The vehicle preparation area has several passenger vehicle preparation bays, one semi tractor/trailer bay, and crash dummy storage. Band windows provide plenty of natural lighting to the office space. Southwest windows are protected from direct sun by a deep roof overhang. A central chiller plant mechanical system was chosen for long-term energy efficiency and life cycle cost. Site work includes a controlled access to a private entrance roadway with new under pass/bridge beneath the test track, a central parking lot, perimeter screen walls, and new landscaping.
