Thunderbird School of Global Management
Glendale, Arizona
A prominent feature of main entrance lobby in this two-story building is a grand-ornamental staircase. The first floor features large tiered lecture halls equipped with technology for distance learning, “break-out” conference rooms, and a career services library. The second floor is administrative and student services offices. Eco-friendly considerations include an HVAC system supported by the north campus central chiller plant. Also, high thermal efficiency glazing windows are recess so they are shaded from direct sun. Super insulating systems are provided in exterior masonry walls and roof assemblies. The site work included a tree-shaded plaza as a public space to facilitate events on the campus.

I worked with Jorge and Martin for many years involving many projects on the campus of Thunderbird involving remodel and new construction. This was a long-term relationship during the 1990’s, where our trust in their work developed from success on small projects and continued through their success on completion of large projects. Over these years they consistently listened and understood our goals and needs. They continually provided well balanced designs that exceeded our expectations."
